Offstage Choices 033

Southend Theatres aims to live at the heart of its community. We are passionate about working with and for our community and are committed to finding innovative ways to encourage participation in the arts.

Our Community and Education programme runs across both the Palace Theatre and Cliffs Pavilion, and we are continuing to build and develop a diverse and extensive range of projects, activities and events designed to broaden the experience of seeing and making theatre. Activities range from our Tiny Palace group for 4 - 6 year olds to our Palace Lunch Club for the over 55's, and are tailored to cater for a variety of age groups, tastes and experience. Both the Community and Education strands to our programme seek to make Southend Theatres a living resource for the region that will contribute to, and enrich, the lives of the people who live here. We work with individuals, communities, and educational groups across Southend and Essex with a commitment to entertain, enlighten and inspire our current and future audiences.

If you are a member of the Essex community and would like to find out more about what we do and how to join in, please read on below...
